Common questions
To enable or disable app blocking:
- Open your iPhone Settings app
- Scroll down and tap "Seek First"
- Toggle the Screen Time permission on or off
When disabled, Seek First will not block any apps, but you can still track your scripture study progress.
To adjust your daily scripture study goal:
- Open the Seek First app
- Tap the Settings icon
- Adjust the "Daily Goal" slider to your preferred number of minutes
Changes take effect immediately.
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not within the Seek First app.
To cancel on iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Tap "Seek First"
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
You can cancel or change your plan anytime. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
To request deletion of your Seek First account and data:
- Email us at support@seekbeforescroll.app
- Include "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line
- We'll delete your account within 30 days
Important: Your subscription must be cancelled separately through Apple (see above). Account deletion does not automatically cancel your subscription.
If apps aren't blocking or unlocking as expected, try these steps:
- Check Screen Time permission: Settings → Seek First → ensure Screen Time permission is enabled
- Verify your goal completion: Make sure you've reached your daily goal in Gospel Library (not just any app)
- Force quit and reopen: Swipe up from the bottom, swipe Seek First away, then reopen it
- Check the time: Your progress resets at midnight each day
- Restart your iPhone: Sometimes iOS needs a fresh start to update Screen Time restrictions
